Connect, Create, Collaborate!

An Explora masterpiece.

You know the importance of accessible, independent arts and culture spaces in your community. Regular participation in the arts has proven to improve emotional awareness and empathy. Engaging in the arts also reduces stress, helps to build strong community bonds, and improves resilience.

atac isn’t just a place for art, music, and creative community building. It's a catalyst for change in our community. We provide a platform for young and emerging artists, independent musicians, and creative people to explore and hone their craft while creating opportunities for shared creative experiences that bring us together!

We’ve added new programs this season and watched our atac family expand. We have so much more in store! Your support is crucial in helping us continue this important work. Please consider supporting access to the arts today. A gift received by June 30th will not only help us reach our end-of-season goals but also allow us to plan our 20th season, showing your direct impact on our community!

When you contribute to atac, you support important programs and community building like:

Explora

Explora is a free drop-in creative space. Every month, artists of all ages and abilities come together to experiment, explore, and create incredible works of art that bring joy and fulfillment to their lives and our community. One Explora regular shared, “We wait all month for Explora. It’s our favorite day!”

Half a Mind Comedy Open Mic

Hald a Mind Comedy Open Mic is our newest addition to the program. It is hosted by Shruti & friends and features some of the freshest and funniest standup comedians in the Greater Boston area. Shruti has created a safe, inclusive, extremely fun, and funny show. If you haven’t been yet, save the last Thursday of the month on your calendar and get down here!

Centre Music House Open Mic

We continue to welcome a packed house for Centre Music House's monthly open mic! Each month, Max leads the audience through a showcase of multi-generational talent. More than one audience member has told us it’s one of the best open mics they’ve been to.

Summer Family Movie Nights

We watch a feature family movie each Thursday during the summer while enjoying dinner from local restaurants and caterers. From Middle Eastern fare from KoosKoos to Empanadas from Pueblito Piasa, there is always something great on the menu. When everyone has their fill, there’s always ice cream dessert!

In addition to these fantastic ongoing programs, we’re still producing weekly shows that feature music, theater, comedy, and film from local, national, and international artists. We hosted long-time favorites this season, including Laszlo Gardony, Five O’Clock Shadow, Buffalo Rose, and Antje. We are proud to platform multiple Framingham Local Cultural Council grantees, including Harmony Grove, SheGrooves, and John Dalton.

Did you know?

We also work with Discovering Hidden Gems, the MetroWest YMCA, A Place to Turn, Voices of the Community, and other area non-profits to create youth and family drop-ins that provide a space to connect, create, and celebrate while enjoying hot, nutritious meals and access to critical resources.

We're excited about the future, and we want you to be a part of it. Your contribution, no matter the size, will make a difference. Join our community of support today and help us continue to bring accessible arts and culture to our community!
