However, will be offering a number of virtual (online) programming throughout the summer. booking submissions

Thank you so much for your interest in booking at ātac: downtown arts + music. We feature a variety of musical and performance acts, including (but not limited to) folk, jazz, rock, soul, blues, theater, comedy, film screenings, and storytelling.

Although we can’t respond to every request, we appreciate your interest and will be in touch if we feel that your show would be a good fit for our venue.

If you’re not quite ready for your own show but would like an opportunity to perform on our stage, we encourage you to check out one of our open mics. You can find more information on opportunities to perform here.

about performing at atac

Our performance space holds up to 135 people in tiered seating. This is an intimate space with no bad seats.

We have a raised 8x20 stage block with additional performance space in front.


Inventory on hand includes:

  • 1 Yamaha GP1 Baby Grand Piano 5’3”

  • 1 Yamaha P90 Electric Keyboard

  • 1 Fender Rumble 100 Bass Amp

  • 1 Mapex Drum kit (suggest bring own cymbals and snare)

  • 1 Behringer X32 Compact Digital Mixer with Built In Effects, Compressor, And EQ for each channel

  • 1 Smartfader 4096 DMX lighting controller currently using 24 lights

double/triple bills + openers

Depending on your ability to draw an audience, we may book you with one or two other compatible acts in order to ensure a full house. You would be informed of the acts, and the house/band cut would be negotiated ahead of a contract.

ātac is committed to quality and giving opportunities to emerging artists. In our efforts to accomplish this goal we may choose a compatible opener for your booking. You would be informed of the act ahead of time. We are dedicated to supporting artists, and our openers receive a small percentage of the house.

rental inquires

Located in downtown Framingham's historic Firehouse, ātac: downtown arts + music is a unique venue for your next event. Our 135 tiered seating performance hall is perfect for fundraisers, lectures, award ceremonies, conferences, parties, showers, and more. The beautifully curated three-room gallery upstairs can add scope and elegance to your event or be rented out on its own.

We are a five minute walk from the Framingham Commuter Rail Station and a short drive from the Mass Pike, Rt. 9 and Rt. 495. We have ample parking at our building as well as additional parking within easy walking distance. Our building is ADA accessible.

Video recording can be provided for an additional fee.


performance hall (capacity: 135)

Located on the main floor of the Firehouse, this space features a stage (8x20), a full sound system, video projection, spotlighting, tiered seating, and a large screen. The walls of the hall house our Stage Gallery, which is showcases 2D work from MetroWest artists.

gallery160 (capacity: 50)

Located on the 2nd floor of the Firehouse, the three rooms of Gallery160 feature work from talented MetroWest artists. This space is well lit with by both natural and overhead lighting, has access to sinks, two gender-neutral restrooms, and our Green Room. Chairs and tables can be provided.
