Representational Painting Techniques

John discusses the pros and cons of working from "life," photography, memory, or imagination, the philosophy of color theory with how the paintings are staged, and how that relates to focusing attention and creating a naturalistic and appealing atmosphere.

John Jameson is a seascape and portrait artist working in New Bedford. After earning his MFA from New York Academy of Art in 2012, he enjoyed teaching several courses at Bristol Community College.
