March 11, 2020
Dear Members and Patrons,
Our mission is to create community through the arts. While that typically means gathering people together to experience great live entertainment and visual art, sometimes it means taking every precaution to ensure the health and safety of the community we love so much.
ātac staff will be working remotely and we will be canceling this weekend’s shows as well as our Jazz Jam + Show and Figure Drawing on Tuesday, March 17. The staff and board will be working diligently to create a plan for the upcoming weeks with the safety of our community as our top priority. Our decision is consistent with Governor Baker's declaration of a state of emergency in Massachusetts, and guidelines issued by the CDC. We feel that supporting social distancing and individual precaution is the best approach to protecting our community members from the spread of the virus. We request that all of our patrons follow the same vigilance and take seriously the responsibility to stay home if you aren’t feeling well or are taking care of a sick family member.
ātac will be contacting those of you who are holding tickets for canceled or postponed shows by phone and email today and tomorrow. Ticket exchanges are always free to ātac members. If you are not a member but would like to exchange your tickets due to illness, we will extend free ticket exchanges for the remainder of this season. Just contact us at least 24 hours prior to the concert by calling our box office 508-405-2787 or emailing firstname.lastname@example.org
As a small but mighty local arts non-profit, cancellations and lower ticket sales make a huge impact on our operations. During this time, we’re especially grateful to our members, whose financial support is vital to ensuring we can continue bringing outstanding artists to the MetroWest region.
Please stay safe and healthy, care for one another, and we’ll be in touch with program updates as soon as possible.
