Thank you for your interest in ātac’s Creating Our Future Tee Shirt Design Contest!
 

As we get ready for the Party for the Arts, our annual fall fundraiser, we wanted to create a commemorative tee shirt as a Thank You gift to our community. What’s more, we feel this is also a great opportunity to highlight young artists around the Framingham area and this contest is open to all artists between the ages of 14 and 21.  

 

All entries must be original designs of the contestant and incorporate the theme of the Creating Our Future. Designs must never have been previously published and does not contain profanity, trademarks, logos, or copyrighted works of any other person or business.
 

There are five (5) prizes available. First (1st) prize: $100 cash, ātac Artist Membership and a tee shirt with your design on it; Second (2nd) Prize: $50 cash, ātac Artist Membership and a sticker with your design on it; Third (3rd) Prize: $50 cash, ātac Artist Membership and a sticker with your design on it. The two runner-ups, Fourth (4th) and Fifth (5th) respectively, will be given honorable mentions as well as ātac Artist Memberships.

The top three (3) winning designs will remain the property of the ātac: downtown music + arts for the duration of time required to manufacture the shirts and stickers. Rights and ownership will revert back to the creator thereafter.
 

The top five (5) entries will be picked through ātac’s submission form and three (3) finalists will be chosen by the ātac staff. The top three (3) finalists will be notified by September 1st with the final placings being announced at the Party for the Arts on October 22. The three (3) finalists will be invited to attend as guests of ātac.

 

The contest begins on August 1st, 2020. The entries must be received online by August 21st, 2020 at 11:59pm EST. Please fill out our form below and send your design artwork to info@atac160.org with “Creating Our Future Submission” as your subject line.
 

ENTRY GUIDELINES:

a. The entry should be accompanied by your name and contact information. But not included IN the actual design.
 

b. Acknowledgment that the contestant has read and agrees to the rules must be included with the entry. Either a signed copy of this form or a written statement within the email should be included.
 

c. The entry must be done in a digital format, large enough to fit on a tee shirt. The entry may be any of the following art file formats: .AI, .PDF, or .PSD. (roughly 8”x11” with 600 DPI or similar dimensions). The selected design will be printed on charcoal grey shirts (CMYK color #948888).
 

d. Designs should NOT be photo-realistic and should use a maximum of two CMYK colors.


e. You agree that if you submit an entry, you will sign an assignment and release form prepared by us acknowledging your acceptance and understanding of the complete contest rules including that the winning design is the temporary property of ātac: downtown music + arts.
 

f. This contest is subject to all federal, state and local laws.
