ātac volunteers are valued members of our community and we’re always looking for enthusiastic, responsible help. Ushers ensure the venue is presentable and welcoming. They report directly to the House Manager, arrive an hour before show time, adjust theater seating as necessary. Ushers greet and check in guests a half hour before show time. 


We serve local brews from Jack's Abby, Exhibit 'A' Brewing Company, and Citizen Cider, as well as light snacks and soft drinks. We're always looking for reliable, personable servers to make our patrons feel welcome and help ensure they have a great time! This position requires TIPS Certification and a Framingham server ID (3.5 hours class cost: $25 + a $25 server ID fee). These costs are reimbursed by ātac.

office assistant

Office volunteers are trained by and report to the Director of Administration. Responsibilities include, physical and digital file organization, bulk mailings, answering phones, and ticket sales. Our office is staffed Tuesday-Friday 10-6. Due to the training required for this position, we ask that you commit to working with us for three months.


We’re looking for some creative, handy, skillful volunteers to help keep our building in top shape! If you like painting, light carpentry, picture hanging, and have an eye for interior design, we’d love to have your help!
